It's been 50+ years since President Lyndon B. Johnson's "The Great Society" strategies were enacted to extricate America's poor people from the clutches of economic inequality. Taxpayers spent an estimated $13 trillion to $22 trillion on programs, infrastructure, and cash payments to redistribute wealth. Rioters in various parts of 2015 America claim that systemic economic injustice is still holding people down. The Great Society had some wins and losses. What now? Gang members said they were not trying to hurt police, just calling attention to police injustice at large. Should the public, as Baltimore's mayor suggested, offer space

Serial thief/forger/con artist called “a good guy and a family man”
Meet Roger Dale Goodman, a convicted thief, forger, and con artist who has been in trouble with the law for allegedly bilking people over the past several decades. The latest case against him alleges that he conned an elderly businessman out of nearly $1 million. Goodman's attorney Jonathan Clark Baird describes his client as "a good guy and a family man." iHeartMedia doesn’t heart sarcasm
As my 30th anniversary with WHAS radio approached, I recently renewed my contract for another six years. On July 1, 2021, I will likely end my 45 year commercial broadcast career. My shows contain serious news interviews, community service, and a fair dose of jocularity involving celebrities, athletes, and newsmakers. Cracking wise is the overriding theme. Our iHeartMedia Louisville management team must send all press release materials through the corporate prism in New York for approval. I was asked to give a statement upon the contract renewal and submitted this: "I declined a generous offer from the international brotherhood of brain surgeons so that I can remain with my iHeartMedia family for six more years. The Pain Train – 68 teams enter the arena and 67 leave hurting
As magnificent as the 2014-15 Kentucky Wildcats looked on paper, "The Unbeatables" were beaten by the Wisconsin Badgers. Kentucky fans are in deep despair as are Kentucky retailers and UK's bottom line. But Wisconsin has fans, too. Despite Kentuckians' claims that host city Indianapolis will suffer from the evacuation of the Big Blue Mist, fans of Wisconsin and Duke have disposable income to spread around. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tweeted a few zingers toward teammate and former Wildcat Randall Cobb just before tipoff and early into the game. After the victory, Rodgers tweeted a simple #OnWisconsin. Gametime. #OnWisconsin Long day for @rcobb18 hopefully.— Aaron Rodgers (@AaronRodgers12) April 5, 2015 .@rcobb18 nervous bro?
