Dan Hartman wrote a beautiful song in the early 80s. Catchy hook, great beat, and a happy story. But as Clint Eastwood said in Magnum Force, "A man has got to know his limitations." The real Dan is below. His song was used in the film Streets of Fire and a fictional group called The Sorels made Dan's song a heck of a lot cooler by keeping Dan out of it. Dan didn't have the right moves. Well played, Hollywood. Dapper Dan does appear in this version that also received ample airplay on MTV. It was a story within the story. Now everybody has a moment to shine. Dan Hartman died in 1994 of a brain tumor associated with AIDS.
She’s a dear with headlights
There are three boobs in this photograph. Two of them are in some serious trouble. That's me with 2014's Miss Kentucky and we have our clothes on. Ramsey Carpenter visited my radio show twice during her reign as the commonwealth's crowned head. She seemed nice, bragged about her love of the Kentucky Wildcats, and never asked if I wanted to see her naked. Here's a picture of Ramsey yesterday. It's her mugshot. Whoa! That's a hot cup of coffee in the lap. What in the name of hoobastank is a-going on here? After she realized I was already taken, Ramsey married a rich guy named Charles "Chas" Bearse two years ago. He's part of the family that owns Massey Coal Company. I'm

Meet the new boss, not the same as the old boss
"We play for the other 10 on the field." Scott Satterfield, the new University of Louisville head football coach, is an affable gentleman from North Carolina. His success at Appalachian State earned his bump up to UofL and A.C.C. competition. The top question is where he will start to turn around a program in meltdown mode. UofL's 2018 season was a total collapse. A defense that completely lost its way allowed unranked opponents to run up 50+ points. An immediate change is Satterfield's promise to open up the Louisville program to local high school football coaches, most of whom were ignored by the previous administration. Many highly ranked prep football players seem to sidestep both UofL and UK programs to land elsewhere. This year's
Griff breaks down Chris Mack’s Cards, Donovan’s Jazz, and NBA dreams
Darrell "Doctor Dunkenstein" Griffith popped into the radio station to throw love at new University of Louisville basketball coach Chris Mack. Griff says Mack's style offers players more creativity to improvise, a definite change from Rick Pitino's more deliberate style. Griffith also talked about the tedious tasks ahead for UofL football coach Scott Satterfield, the amazing artistry of Donovan Mitchell, and the cushy life of Utah Jazz players compared to his era. Salt Lake City's growth since Griffith's playing days amaze the former Jazz star. He says Louisville would prosper immeasurably by snaring an NBA franchise, a campaign impeded by Pitino and former UofL athletics director Tom Jurich. Darrell also talked about his new restaurant Griff's, now open at 2nd and Liberty
