Our media business has fallen into the trap of taking sides. Many people throw heat at media outlets now for excessive WOKE coverage. As a result, lots of stories that may spotlight minority missteps are reduced in scope or ignored altogether. Media managers fear being labeled racist for prolonged reporting on stories involving crimes allegedly committed by minorities. That's a tricky measurement in today's WOKE culture. So many media outlets find themselves overplaying to the WOKE crowd to avoid blowback from Twitter bullies. The Cancel Culture is always ready to pounce on stories involving race. This week gave us two stark examples. SOHO Karen's first stories appeared 4 days ago. It's only a cell phone dispute but since there is a racial component
Year: 2020
What’s that? You teach sweaty teens how to run and kick a ball? Knighthood is in order, Sir!
Hey Reporter Rick, I went fishing once with Coach Jonah. A whale swallowed us and then spit us out three days later because he had to speak at the #Bassmaster press conference. True story. 🐳 https://t.co/DLsGbUyxTU — Terry Meiners (@terrymeiners) December 29, 2020 Media people are having fun torching some Alabama football sycophantic reporter named Rick Karle. This kiss ass Nick Saban worshipper posted instructions on Facebook for people to address the Bama football leader as COACH Saban, not informally as Nick. Karle's ire was raised after a young female reporter opened with "Hi, Saban." It was likely a nervous burst where she accidentally omitted "Coach" from her greeting but this longtime TV sports reporter Karle felt the need to shame her. Karle's twitter
Hey WOKE people, in the aftermath of the Nashville bombing, how’s that Defund the Police concept working out?
When loner maniac Anthony Warner parked his RV on Nashville's primary tourist street on Christmas morning, he opted to play a countdown evacuation warning that an explosion was coming. The recording was accurate. The entire RV exploded at 6:41 AM, damaging buildings and vehicles for several blocks. Scant human remains of Warner were identified in the rubble. Police were originally summoned to the area after gunshots were heard a few minutes earlier. Later intelligence suggests that the bomber played sound effects of shots fired. Was the maniac trying to lure first responders and cops into a death trap? We may never know. That lunatic is dead. Speculation is that he was paranoid about 5G service spying on people so he parked the RV
Breonna Taylor, saint or sinner, continues to divide the culture
The New York Times released a video simulation and multiple reports recapping the shooting of Breonna Taylor by Louisville Metro Police Department officers last March. It is compelling on many fronts and illustrates the tragedy of Taylor's death juxtaposed with the challenges for law enforcement safely serving warrants. No cameras captured the final minutes of Breonna Taylor’s life. We used crime scene evidence and testimony to reconstruct what happened and show the mistakes that led to her killing by police. Times report offers a comprehensive recap but most people made up their minds about Breonna, Black Lives Matter, police, and the justice system months ago. The comments thread
Thank you, Jordan Love and Loveless Danica – Aaron Rodgers is fully engaged with football
Green Bay Packers fans were stunned when the team used its first round 2020 NFL draft pick on Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. Wait...what? The team with Aaron Rodgers, the greatest quarterback in Green Bay's glorious history, opts not to draft an excellent receiver to complement its superstar leader? Yeppers. Packers management decided to prepare for the eventual exit of 37-year-old Rodgers, mindful of age, money, and forward momentum. So Jordan Love is now on the sideline witnessing Rodgers in perhaps his greatest season ever. On Sunday Night Football last night, Rodgers was touted by announcers Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth as the leading MVP candidate again. So what's up with Aaron? Seeing the Packers use their primary draft pick for a young quarterback
Dontaie know how good he is?
The last time Kentucky basketball was this bad, 25-year-old Adolph Rupp was a wrestling coach in Iowa and these slugs were repping the Cats. Most of them were local boys from so-called Big Blue Nation. That counts for a lot around these parts. University of Kentucky basketball fans are reeling from a six game losing streak, with the latest burn by arch-rival Louisville. Some UK zealots are calling for Coach John Calipari to step down. Others question whether his one-and-done methodology is now outdated. Most UK fans agree that Calipari needs to give more playing time to Dontaie Allen. Why? Because he's a homegrown basketball player who was named Mr. Basketball! He's a Kentuckian, and in the minds of the majority, that makes Allen
Louisville vs Kentucky basketball condensed game
Why spend two hours watching the UK vs UofL rivalry game when you can see every critical moment condensed here? Enjoy! “Not many times that you can not play very well and beat Kentucky,” Louisville coach Chris Mack said. “But I thought that’s what happened today.” Louisville Trinity High School phenom David Johnson has been an outstanding boost to the University of Louisville basketball program. “This win is going to give us a big push going forward into the new year.” @davidjohnson13 spoke with @TheAndyKatz after @LouisvilleMBB defeated their in-state rival Kentucky. pic.twitter.com/bJPnkQ9pXA — NCAA March Madness (@marchmadness) December 26, 2020

Louisville finally gets some good news, Calipari cites “buzzard’s luck”
For those in red, Christmas now begins on December 26. For those in blue, Christmas is over. The Louisville Cardinals (6-1) defeated the Kentucky Wildcats (1-6) in a seesaw matchup. Louisville led by 7 with less than six minutes remaining but Kentucky clawed back to tie it in the last minute. Kentucky 7-footer Olivier Sarr had a late shot to take the lead but the rim was unforgiving. Louisville's Carlik Jones was fouled as he scooped the rebound. Jones made both free throws to create the final margin, 62-59. A pandemic-spaced 3,000 fans witnessed the rivalry game at Louisville's KFC Yum Center. Is 2020 a bad year? Depends on whom you ask. Louisville coach Chris Mack was happy with the win but is still
