This video reel shows a lot of WHAS-TV luminaries from 2000. Rachel Platt, Gary Roedemeier, Melissa Swan, Chuck Olmstead, Mark Hebert, Jean West, Ken Schulz, and others made a strong news team. The one-on-one profile of Terry Meiners was on the occasion of his selection to become the new co-host of the WHAS Crusade for Children. —- The second part of the video is a complete Rick Pitino coach’s show from 2002, recorded before a live audience at Jillian’s club. It was Pitino’s inaugural season at the University of Louisville and his roster was short on talent, thus the variety show. The special guest on this episode was football coach John L. Smith, whose Cardinals had just won the Liberty Bowl. The video below is a Pitino show several years later when the rights were moved to WHAS-11.
