It is amazing how many people think that they can answer an argument by attributing bad motives to those who disagree with them. Using this kind of reasoning, you can believe or not believe anything about anything, without having to bother to deal with facts or logic.— Thomas Sowell (@ThomasSowell) February 15, 2021 People who thrive on their identity as Blue Democrats and Red Republicans hate each other in today's acerbic political arena. No one seems to be able to converse without the subject devolving into politics. Then - POOF! - people move back to their comfortable echo chambers. The film Irresistible is a masterful takedown of our cultural logjam. It's a brilliant piece of film. Amazingly, liberal Jon Stewart produced a
2019 saw an inordinate share of hoaxes advanced by WOKE media. Is there any better way for struggling mainstream media to restore its withering street cred? "We're down with the struggle, y'all!" Not long ago, journalists would get backup verification before blurting out "facts" to media consumers. Now any viral video becomes an instant "story" quickly tweeted as "breaking news." The only thing that's really BREAKING is credibility. Dr. Wilfred Reilly, an African American professor at Kentucky State University, an HBCU, has written a book called HATE CRIME HOAX: HOW THE LEFT IS SELLING A FAKE RACE WAR. Dr. Reilly estimates that 15% of media mushrooming of "hate crimes" is mostly lies and/or exaggeration. The first thing I tell students in
Our media business makes mistakes. That's cool. Humans make mistakes. Here's Saturday night's WHAS11 report of a Republican governor interacting with Democrat volunteers. Anchor Lisa Hutson reads claims from the Democrat Party that Governor Matt Bevin is harassing the Democrats but she doesn't have any facts about what actually happened. Hutson's report mirrors accounts from other media outlets, and they are all wrong. No one fact checked the story, they just repeated the misleading claims of the Facebook post. News consumers are given the false impression that there is conflict when it actually the complete opposite. I am impressed with these two Democrats who stood up against the media and social media fictional posts by people who weren't even there. We may not
This is not a depiction of anyone's Mt. Rushmore. For one, Liberals would never honor any monument with the word RUSH in it. And many Liberals would throw orange paint on the few white males who are included in this group of otherwise marginalized politicians. Sad! Sen. Elizabeth Warren is the only one of these pictured candidates who didn't speak Spanish during the first 2019 Democrat debate. As the night wore on, many viewers posted tweets suggesting that Warren break out into Cherokee Nation language to level the bilingual sensitivity meter. Lots of online commenters speculated that the Spanish speaking guys were simultaneously running for president of Mexico. Or Venezuela. I loved Beto's fractured Spanish so much that I

The most compelling philosophical struggle in the 2016 presidential race may not be moderate Republican Chris Christie vs. Tea Party hardliners. The New Republic illustrates how the Democrats are in a titanic tug of war.
