Former University of Louisville football coach Howard Schnellenberger popped in to WHAS-11’s Great Day Live show on the day that current UofL football coach Charlie Strong was deciding whether to accept a job leading the University of Tennessee. Howard abruptly left Louisville to take the job at Oklahoma and was promptly fired one year later. His insights on Charlie Strong’s dilemma are sound. Howard and his friend Joe Riano also touted a new free phone app that prevents drivers from texting while operating a vehicle.
