The telephone poles along this entire block are directly in the middle of the sidewalk, including the one pictured in the background on the wheelchair access ramp. How is a wheelchair or mobility scooter user supposed to access this new sidewalk without going into the mud or the street? Imagine the conversation between city workers: "Boss, I know you said to build that sidewalk but what about the hydrant and the telephone poles?" he asked as the boss laughed uproariously.
